Instrumental Ensemble Advisor
Title: Instrumental Ensemble

Job Description: Supervising, managing, and assisting students playing a musical instrument as part of a group, and coordinating sounds, gestures, and musical ideas with other musicians.

Effective: 2024 – 2025 School Year

Qualifications:
· Experience: Must have experience playing instruments and an assortment of families of instruments.
· Skills: They should be able to read printed music, and have knowledge of musical conducting, rehearsal techniques, and transpositions.
· Education: Background in teaching music to elementary and middle school age students.

Essential Functions:
· Organizing musical supplies including musical instruments, distribution of instruments, and rehearsals.
· Planning for and overseeing musical performances.
· Playing, rehearsing, and performing in front of an audience, or participating in competitions, and coordinating schedules for trips and competitions.
· Other duties as assigned by Administration.
· Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.
