Position: English Teacher

Reports to: Building Principal/ Teaching and Learning Supervisor

Position Summary

The English Certified Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering English instruction to students in grades 9–12 as prescribed by the District. The teacher promotes student achievement while creating a positive and supportive classroom environment. The teacher aligns instruction with Pennsylvania academic standards, uses data to inform teaching, and works collaboratively with staff, families, and administrators to support student success.

The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some fine finger dexterity.  In general, the job requires approximately 30% sitting, 40% walking, and 30% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
